The Lab Expo is an annual research symposium aimed to connect the wide variety of research conducted on and around campus to the undergraduate community. Lab Expo's three-pronged approach to accomplishing this is to develop scientific literacy, promote interdisciplinary collaboration, and encourage scientific advocacy. The event is OPEN TO ALL MAJORS! Lab Expo will encompass a large breadth of departments, including Science, Humanities, and Engineering. Attendees will have a chance to learn about the scientific process, discuss it with the people behind the research, network with people in different fields, and maybe even get involved themselves. Caltech is now accepting applications for the WAVE Fellows Undergraduate Research Program! The WAVE Fellows program provides support for undergraduate students, who are underrepresented in STEM and intent on pursuing a Ph.D., to conduct a 10-week summer research project under the mentorship of Caltech faculty. Research opportunities in biology, neuroscience, chemistry, chemical engineering, engineering and applied science, geology, environmental science, sustainability, astronomy, physics, nanotechnology, quantum sciences, humanities, social science, and more!
