Research Internships details
Who is eligible? These internships are reserved to highly motivated top students at Bachelor or Master levels from a limited number of partner universities of EPFL. Students should be enrolled as regular students in your institution when they complete the EPFL internship. Participation in these programs is subject to a selection process and depends on availability of laboratories of interest to students. This event will include an internship presentation from Argonne’s University Student Programs staff, as well as a panel of student alumni to share their experience and growth as Argonne interns. Register for the event here. The UC Wide Ad Hoc Committee on Disability Accessibility is officially launching subcommittees that will work on specific issues affecting students with disabilities. This subcommittee seeks to increase access to opportunities for disabled students in STEM, remove barriers to access within the UC STEM curriculum and resources, provide support and advocacy to disabled students in STEM, and work to increase professional development opportunities for students in STEM. The Student Success Center in the Division of Physical Sciences has partnered with Dr. Roberto Rubalcaba to host a webinar called "Stand and Deliver: Success in Math with Black, Chicanx, Indigenous and Undocumented Students" as the third of a three-part Diversity in STEM series. In this session, you will learn strategies to create a safe and welcoming classroom for your students of color to thrive including building safe spaces for students who may be experiencing serious challenges outside of your classroom. We will discuss how to invite, include, encourage, and engage Black / African American, Latinx / Chicanx, Indigenous and Undocumented students without requiring them to change their identity to learn.
