Make your summer matter as you explore the field of teaching and support efforts to provide equitable access to summer learning opportunities for all San Diego children. We are looking for FOUR Summer Equity Fellows to help ensure that children attending public schools in southeastern San Diego receive the summer support they require both inside and outside of schools in order to read proficiently by the end of third grade. SUMMER READERS – FUTURE LEADERS is a five-week program that provides local children entering grades 1, 2, and 3 with literacy support and enrichment opportunities. Summer Equity Fellows are university students who support certificated teachers in providing literacy acceleration and enrichment opportunities throughout Summer Readers-Future Leaders.
