DuPont GOLD (Growth Opportunities Leading in Diversity) in partnership with the National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE) will hold a seminar competition at NOBCChE’s 50th Annual Meeting, September 11 – 14th at the Sheraton in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The GOLD seminar competition will take place on Monday September 11th, 2023. Selected participants will present their research for a chance to win a $1,000 prize, receive an interview with a DuPont recruiter, and engage in virtual networking and mentoring sessions with DuPont scientists and engineers prior to the competition. Interested applicants should apply for the job posting here and submit a CV/resume, a 500-word abstract, and a 1,000-word research summary to [email protected]. Questions can be submitted to [email protected]. We are excited to introduce our new Transfer Research Experience (T-REx) program for incoming transfer students! This program offers a 4-week summer program before students' first enrolled quarter (Fall 2023) with the opportunity to work in a research group in the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry side-by-side with other undergraduates, graduate students, and postdocs.
Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories will be on campus May 2nd with representatives from engineering and computing. LLNL will be hosting events all day from 9am-4pm: 09:00am - 11:00am Informational Office Hours (Space is limited!)

CIA representatives will be going over what it's like to work in the Agency, the different internship and career opportunities there, connecting with students 1:1 or in a group setting to network, and conducting a simulation session where students will learn how to navigate and brief the Taiwan/China conflict. All positions require US Citizenship and relocation to the Washington, D.C. area during their time. However, they will provide relocation fees, student loan repayment, and competitive salaries. Are you an undergraduate who wants a year of paid work experience? Join us for the Biological Sciences Co-Op Program Winter 2023 Symposium! Open to ALL majors.
The symposium features student presentations on their Co-Op experience, including projects, progress, and lessons learned. The Co-Op Program is open to students of all majors and includes one year of paid work experience and a professional development course for academic credit. If you’re a student interested in joining the Co-Op Program, this event is a great opportunity to learn about the program and how to join.
